i've got into NTU SOCIOLOGY!!! received the letter on wednesday. think i'll choose ntu even if nus accepts me. NTU is direct honours and the class size is smaller, meaning quality of friends! while in nus i'll have to bid for my course (that means i'm not assured of a place in socio) and its immensely hard to have long term friends as sarah experienced. smu has already rejected me. YAY now sarah and I can be social sciences graduates!
it was one of the happiest moments in my life to receive the letter. after all the hardships my mum has experienced, i really wanna make her proud her son is going to uni:)
friday was vesak day and i had GUARD DUTY. it was boredom boredom boredom. but i learnt something shocking. the orderly seargent there was a regular, and he told us he frequents massage parlours for their FULL services. the half service is just the massage. the full one is you-know-what. he started mentioning all the places that had and even offered to bring us haha wtf. and he amused us with funny tales and jokes, like how one of his friends suffered a slip disc while in some funny "Jap helicopter" position HAHAHA (how that looks like i dunno), and ur "little head taking over ur big head". i knew its common for regulars in the army to participate in the flesh trade, but it was the first time hearing it from a person who does it.
saturday went with damian to find an acoustic guitar. he's serious about being a musician next time haha. he bought it from swee lee for around $100. for those about to rock, we salute you!!! i bought a hilarious tee from peninsular for 26 bucks here it is.
it says Who killed Bambi? SEX PISTOLS!!!! makes no sense but i like it haha.
junhong and i met impromtu to go to BROADCAST at the substation.
i signed up to be volunteer at Music For Good. wanted to for a long time. not only will i get experience in organising gigs, it'll be good for my resume next time:) also bought the For Good! cd. it's a compilation of local bands' unreleased material. got it for only $10, luckily i waited and didnt get ripped of by hmv/sembawang's $16.95!!
this is the CD. support local music, buy it!
lunarin and astreal were great!!! not only cos of their bassist-vocalist babes:) as i listen to lunarin's CD now, it kind of grows on me. lunarin plays progressive hard rock, kinda like A Perfect Circle with a female voice. first let me introduce LINDA ONG: litigant by day, rocker by night. and next GINETTE CHITTICK (wow exotic name!): communication design lecturer at la-selle-SIA college of the arts, fashion designer, actress, (i think many more) and of course rocker.
they held auctions for dinner dates with them and linda got $75 and ginette got $88. if i had the money and older i'd bid too LOL
she looks better with her bass!
isn't she cute with her flying V?
the only bad part about the gig was the theatre. once everyone stood up those at the back could not see the act. so maybe they should elevate the stage.
before i leave watch linda rock here!
